Why Art Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect to Mean Something
There is something incredibly human about creating something that isn't perfect.
A brushstroke that didn't go exactly where you planned. A colour that changed the entire direction of a painting. A texture you didn't intend to create, but somehow couldn't imagine the piece without.
For a long time, we're taught to associate good art with perfection. Clean lines. Perfect proportions. Everything exactly where it is supposed to be.
But sometimes, the parts that make us feel something are the parts that weren't planned at all.
